The Details:

Experience the dream car.  The F355 GTS F1 is a fantastic driving experience because:

  1. Sound of car is unbelievable.  The stock F355 sounds better than a stock 360, in my opinion, of course.

  2. F1 paddle shifter allows you to easily 'left foot' brake, like you would on a shifter kart.

  3. The F1 paddle shifter allows you, the driver, to "blip the throttle" for each downshift, so you can use your own driving skill to "match revs" and achieve a perfectly smooth downshift.   You approach a stop light braking with your left foot, blipping the throttle with your right foot for the downshifts to get you to first gear.  It makes you feel more "connected" to the car, as if you have total control of how the car is operating.

  4. Top of car comes off, allowing you to hear the motor and have the sun shine upon you as you cruise around.

  5. Relatively rare car.  You do not see many red F355 GTS F1 with the factory carbon fiber racing seats with Connolly leather.

One of the best sounding cars in the world

The F355 GTS is better than an F355 Spider, as you get a lot more wind noise in the Spider.  The GTS allows you to get the sun and a little bit of wind blowing through your hair, but not so much that you are "fatigued" from the driving experience like the Spider.  The F355 Spider also seems more like a "chick car", if you know what I mean.

Incredibly fun to drive

This car does not have the rear black Challenge Grill, which I feel screws up the look of the rear of the car.  Kinda like putting black fishnet panties on a supermodel, it seems unnecessary.  Just go bare.

This car does not have the side Ferrari shields, which seem obnoxious to me, and interrupts the clean look of the car.  Everyone knows it is a Ferrari by the way it looks and sounds, so why have big badges on the side of car reminding people that you drive a Ferrari?

I am the first and only owner of this car, which was custom ordered around September 1998, and delivered in February 1999.  Picture of original sticker price.

The F355 GTS F1 is scheduled to be detailed at Premier Motorsports in Culver City on July 18 to July 19, 2007.  After that, car will be located in Huntington Beach.
